I like that it’s a free country and a land of opportunity.

Gun violence is a lot.

What would you like to see happen in the US?

A final end to racism in this country.

Within a few years my mom had her ownbeauty salon.

That’s the American Dream.

What did the American Dream mean to your parents?

Finally having peace of mind.

The American Dream meant never having to wonder how we would eat again.

Are you patriotic toward the United States of America?

I do love the US and consider myself a patriot.

To beable to succeed and be equal among those of other races.

To break the chain of a systematicimage that we cannot do as other races can do.

To show a Black-owned business can strive andis as talented as others.

The American Dream wasn’t created for everyone to reach.
