But it can be misleading, according to Romanowski.
Many of the ingredients that will be banned by this bill have already been banned or restricted in Europe.
Cosmetic chemist and founder ofBeautyStat, Ron Robinson, says that each manufacturer defines “toxic” differently.
But the urgency to ban is higher with a select few ingredients that are still used more regularly.
“The cosmetic ingredient will be driven out of the business.”
