I’m sitting next to Chloe Cherry listening to her recite rap lyrics her own.

She’s the new face of Urban Decays latest lip launch:Lip Bond Liquid Lipstick.

Lip Bond touts a long-lasting, opaque-yet-glossy finish that promises to be transfer-proof, smudge-proof, water-proof lip color.

Or perhaps I’m just an unphased beauty writer.)

She quickly rose to massive social media fame after her debut in season two ofEuphoria.

About three minutes into our conversation, Cherry brings it up herself: her lip filler.

The way that people reacted to it was so fucking horrific."

The fame has made self-care a big part of her life now.

“I prioritize going for walks and hikes,” she says.

“I really like to talk to my family.

It’s this pop in of candor that has enamored over a million people on Instagram.

Not bad for someone who was relatively unknown eight months ago.

“I was a normal person,” she says.

“Then I woke up after that [Euphoriapremiere] Sunday nothing’s been the same.

It feels like I went into another dimension.

I woke up after that [Euphoriapremiere] Sunday nothing’s been the same.

I love her untraditional trajectory into mainstream television.

Her vibe is a mish mosh of a bunch of things.

Glossy, in-your-face lips.

Radically long eyelashes (that are real).

Her beauty routine juxtaposes the intense with the simple, too.

Cherry surprised me several times during our interview.

For instance, I noted that her Instagram feed is an explosion of her personality.

It’s not curated.

It’s not staged.

How did she get to the point where she felt comfortable being so uninhibited?

“I have this lyric in one of my rap songs.

I’ve three rap songs.”

Yes, she raps.

I literally need to feel free or else I can’t cope.

I can’t survive.

I don’t want to be a person if I can’t just be free.

I’m just trying to get through it, honestly.

I’m not about to go listen to some weird person’s societal rules or something.

I just feel this certain freeness.

She loves Lip Bond because she prefers glossy to matte lips and the product doesn’t budge.

Not on a straw, a cup, a hand, a face nada.

The trick is to apply one coat in a single direction.

Don’t blot your lips together.

Let it set for a few seconds and you’re solid.

And I didn’t see this one coming, either.

She starts to speak about her ex-boyfriend, Vasco, who she started dating when they were both 19.

They broke up three years ago, but still talk every day.

“When you break up with somebody, the relationship should be over.

“That’s what happened to us.

I kept calling him and he would call me and I still talk to him every single day.

We have a deeply loving relationship that improved so much once we broke up.

I’ve never had anyone be there for me the way that he is in my life.

It’s almost like we’re like soulmates in a way.

We swear that we’re twin flames why are we so connected?

It’s definitely an unbreakable bond that I have.”

I think she’s done.

Relationships aren’t real.

It’s all about how that person is actually treating you.
