But Lippmann is ready to branch out or up, rather.
Her brand has turned its attention to the face, and more specifically, the lips.
“I have always dreamt of and planned to hop into makeup.
I mean, my last name does have ‘lip’ in it,” she says.
Although lip gloss may be a new endeavor for Lippmann, the colors it comes in are not.
“Not all nail colors look great on lips, so I did some cherry-picking,” Lippmann tellsAllure.
Much to my surprise, the cool beige didn’t suck the life out of my face.
AlthoughModern Lovelooks decidedly mauve in its bottle, it was a damn-near-perfect match for my own lip color.
So why not just wear a clear gloss, right?

But I was, you might say, tickled over how much I love this shade.
And Lippmann herself can relate.
“I cant choose a favorite,” she says.
“My favorite is the one Im wearing at the moment.”
