She really is driven by what she wants to wear, regardless of what situation they could be in.
She likes latex and rubber; these are classic materials she reaches for in her closet.

When asked how the show gets New York so right, Lee says it’s all about the timing.

“It depends on which New York you are talking about.
We’re living in this world that is much closer, in my mind, to old New York.
“This is era before everyone looked the same; itsupersedes what was trendy.
That really makes a difference, time and time again,” she explains.
That nuance includes the highly specific choices for the cast’s makeup, hair, and wardrobe selection.
We said, ‘Do we need to calibrate this more?
Is this too much?
Do we look like the fucked up Charlie’s Angels?’
But then we realized that, no, this is actually very real.
This is more of a reflection of how groups offriends would be.
“I think there was the line season one where I accuse Lizzy of wearing my necklace.
They’re things that unite us,” she explains.
I’m much more classist when it comes to my makeup routine.”
“It’s all about the skin andsun protection, especially now that I’m on the west coast.
The sun here is truly insane.
They are truly perplexed by how tan I am.
So what kind of sunscreen is up to Lee’s standards?
“I have to have that atSK-II cleansing oil, especially for work.
“Oh my God!
“I’m obsessed with that product.
I swear, they don’t pay me; this is not a hashtag ad.
I feel like this has single-handedly changed my skin.
It’s a beautiful product.”

That makes me feel awake,” she says.

It’s the perfect low-key red, because I can’t actually deal withbright red lips.
I don’t know, it just feels too much of a look for me.
This color is like a brown-ish, orange-red that I wear all the time.
I should actually mix it up a little bit more, but I can’t stop.”
