But whatever you do, don’t use makeup wipes.

They can be a bit harsh and remove too many natural oils, Ilyas says.

If you were working with even heavier adhesives, not to worry.

The skin around your eyes is very sensitive, so remember the golden rule: be gentle.

“People get a little panicky, and they think this is not coming off,” she explains.

“If the makeup is oil-based, generally anoil-based cleanserwill work better to remove it.”

The skin is very delicate so always see to it to treat it as such.

“you’re free to go overboard,” Ilyas says.

This isn’t time to pull those makeup wipes out either, according to Ilyas.

“I see so many rashes due to makeup wipes,” she explains.

“I’m not a huge fan of them because I think people almost overuse them.”

If you’re too rough, your skin will be left feeling raw, which isn’t great.

“No need to scrub excessively,” Gohara shares.

She suggests using one of thosecotton washcloths for babieswhen you’re scrubbing.

“Washing these routinely with a bleach solution is important to do,” she says.

If you really caked the makeup on, you might want to do some light exfoliation, Talakoub says.

Your skin isn’t doomed, it just needs a little time and moisture.
