“So I decided to demonstrate my dissidence by cutting my hair.”

The woman was able to speak with Allure before the Iranian government imposed an internet blackout across the country.

“It’s not safe.

Per Reuters, Iranian activists havecalledfor a “nationwide strike.”

Outside of Iran, women have shown their solidarity byprotestingin major European and American cities.

“I’m fully proud of my fellow Iranians.”

“Its not safe,” she says.
