PillowtalkDerm’s Major Fade Hyper Serum comes in a syringe-style pump. Our editors say two clicks-worth of the gel-cream are enough to cover the face and neck.

“It’s about looking at the forest and not the trees,” says Dr. Idriss.

“Looking at the whole face and not just a wrinkle.”

“One [Instagram] story eventually became a second, then a third,” Dr. Idriss recalls.

“And then it snowballed and became hundreds of stories.

At one point, someone was like, ‘I love your pillow talks.'”

Now, PillowtalkDerm refers not just to a person, but to a product line.

But for Dr. Idriss, the decision to launch with Major Fade was a “no-brainer.”

Each of the three formulas works to achieve that goal in its own way.

During development, she posted an Instagram poll asking for opinions onfragrance in skin care.

But fragrance is one of the few areas where Dr. Idriss is willing to compromise.

“I think, through education comes knowledge, comes empowerment,” she adds.

“I want my consumers to know the how, the why, and the what.”
