It’s not unusual for a celebrity to change up their hairstyle a bit between TV appearances.Kerry Washington, for example, was seen last night onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonwith a sleek, long ponytail, and this morning, she was seen onTodaywith a wavy, past-shoulder-length style.
But to go so far as to actuallychop off a few inchesbetween appearances is next-level dedication to switching it up and that’s exactly what Washington did betweenTodayandThe View.
Washington has been promoting her new series,UnPrisoned, on the usual late-night and morning-show circuit, with March 9’s first stop beingToday.

Stunning as always, she wore the cutest boucle mini dress and matching jacket, topped off with a middle-parted, wavy lob that reached past her shoulders.
Upon hopping over toThe View, however, the only thing that didn’t change was her white, high-heel shoes.
In addition to changing into a black skirt and belted, lime-green jacket, it appears Washington gave her go-to stylist,Takisha Sturdivant-Drew, the OK to cut her hair with little time to spare between interviews.

By the time she sat down withThe Viewcrew, her still-middle-parted waves were several inches shorter, now awavy bobno longer touching her shoulders.
Upon a closer look at Sturdivant-Drew’s Instagram Stories, a more likely explanation than a quick cut might be the removal of hair extensions.

Either way, we’re impressed with the subtle yet impactful change those few inches made and seriously consideringactuallycutting a wavy bob for spring.
