The opportunities for us are limitless after all, everyone has dirty laundry.
As a company, The Laundress is young.
The Laundress was the mother of it all, the first, and the best.
But in November of 2022, something appeared to be going very wrong.
On November 17,the brand posteda vague but alarming safety notice to their Instagram.
My first thought was, The safety notice is weird, she remembered.

The usually beamy white shelves wore a forgotten pallor.
By spring, it would be closed permanently.
The news proliferated far and wide.
Eight million products manufactured between January 2021 and September 2022 were recalled including every liquid product in the range.
But by then, the stain on The Laundresss reputation had set in.
The Laundress spent the spring fulfilling recall reimbursement requests, but that wasnt all they were doing.
Seven months after its products had been recalled, they were coming back better than ever.
This was really our opportunity to improve that experience and address that feedback, said Yokoji.
Highlights range from a maxi-size Fabric Conditioner to an improved dosing experience.

I am currently a Laundress recall payee.
Some are hoarding bottles of Santal 33 Detergent and using them only on their good sheets.
But that was the old Laundress and this is the new one.
