What are the K18 Peptide Prep shampoos?

With the launch of its latest, K18 has its eyes on converting your cleansing regimen.

With those factors in mind, I was most eager to test drive Detox.

It delivered on that front, making it the most memorable for me of the two shampoos.

Afterblow-drying, it felt similar to how it always feels when I use K18: sleek and healthy.

My scalp felt great, but did it makethatmuch of a difference?

The brand is working on clinicals testing the efficacy of the mask after using the Detox shampoo.

Currently, it can only confirm that both options are non-sensitizing (i.e.

I’m picking favorites for me personally, Detox is the clear standout offering from this launch.

In terms of the uniqueness of the products, the point of difference is the K18 peptide, naturally.

“It’s like how many cakes share similar ingredients, but we still have variety.”

Both also noted that nothing in the formulations raised any eyebrows or caused concern.

The Detox shampoo claims to break down buildup without stripping the hair and scalp.

This is likely a result of an ingredient the brand doesn’t call out.

In addition, the use of panthenol helps smooth the cuticle as well."

Both Ko and Olu note that technically, most surfactants are plant-derived.

“[But] it can also be made from petroleum oil.”

She suggests consulting your physician and/or dermatologist prior to usingeithershampoo if that’s the case.

Overall, both chemists said the shampoos are suitable for all hair types.

Ko even noted that there’s promising literature on the peptides that led to the development of K18.

But it’s not clear if these exact peptides or concentrations are what’s in K18."

Ko gives his props to the brand for creating something he thinks is a solid product.
