One of the first things you notice aboutTia Mowrywhen talking directly to her is that infectious laugh.
For instance, in early January, she shared aside ponytail braided with a silver beaded chain.
And she ended the short month with atextured top knot and curly bangs.

The first is adark brown-to-ash blonde ombre wig(shown above) that she wore back in 2021.
She got a few good wears out of the unit, which we mostly saw styled with light waves.
“I felt that I looked like a completely different person,” she says.
Her hair on the side was twisted up towards her crown creating a faux undercut with one shaved side.
The rest of her springy coils were left alone, cascading well below her collarbones.
The last of the trio is thethick box braidsthat grazed her kneecaps that she wore in June.
In fact,box braidsare her preferred hairstyle, especially for vacations, because of their convenience.
“I love this style because it’s extremely practical and easy as a mom,” she says.
“I remember that was when I started straightening my hair.”
“To me, it is a gift to age.
It means that you are still here,” she says.
“I feel like my hair has become an accessory,” she says.
It’s just another extension of her outfit.

She isn’t trying to curate looks that fit an aesthetic.
“In my authentic self, I am enough, and I define what is beauty to me.”
