How do AHAs in deodorants work?

Who will benefit from AHA deodorants and who won’t?
While they can help eliminate odor, deodorants will not prevent sweating the way antiperspirants can.
Dr. King also notes that while there are aluminum-free deodorants, there is no such thing as aluminum-free antiperspirants.
Since AHA-infused deodorants are formulated without aluminum, don’t expect them to have any antiperspirant properties.
Additionally, as Dr. King explains, excess sweat can dilute or wash AHAs away entirely.
This makes it difficult if not entirely impossible to reap their benefits.
